Information on your device.
Onboarding answers, your optional name, selected and saved prayers, reading streak and reminder preference are stored on your device. An account is not required to read prayers. This version does not send this information to an AI service. On iOS, Screen Time app and website selections use Apple's interface and remain on your device, including the shared storage used by Önce Dua's iOS extensions. On Android, selected protected apps are stored on your device. We do not send these selections to an advertising or analytics service.
Android prayer breaks and Accessibility permission.
The Android app lets you add prayer breaks to selected apps for free. After your explicit consent, its Accessibility service detects only the identity of the app opened in the foreground and shows a prayer break for a selected app. It does not read, record or share screen text, typing, messages or browsing content. Selected apps and access expiry are stored only on your device. You can withdraw the permission in Android Settings or remove protection in the app. Prayer reading remains available if you decline the permission.
Prayer times.
The default location is Istanbul. Choosing Use my location requests foreground location permission. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before transmission. Approximate coordinates, date and calculation method are sent to Aladhan to obtain prayer times. Aladhan can also see the IP address of the network request. The app does not track location in the background. Results are cached locally, and permission can be withdrawn in your device settings. Calculated times may differ from local official calendars. iOS subscriptions and free Android app.
The Android app has no subscription or in-app purchase; its features are free and it does not use RevenueCat. Apple processes iOS purchases; we do not receive payment card details. On iOS, RevenueCat processes purchase history and its automatically generated anonymous app user identifier to verify subscription access and provide subscription reports. Önce Dua does not send your name, onboarding answers or prayer text to RevenueCat. This version does not use advertising tracking or advertising identifiers. Notifications.
Daily reminders and prayer-break notifications are created on your device. Notification permission is requested when enabling reminders or setting up prayer breaks; you can change it in your device settings. This version does not register a push token for remote notifications.
Retention, deletion and requests.
Local information can be removed in the app's Settings. Protection can be removed in the app; withdraw Screen Time permission in iOS Settings or Accessibility permission in Android Settings. On iOS, removing local information or uninstalling the app does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage it through your Apple account. Apple and RevenueCat purchase records remain subject to their respective retention obligations. Send access, correction, deletion or privacy questions to the contact above. Changes.
This notice and the relevant store privacy declarations will be updated when data practices change. This notice describes Android 1.1.0 and iOS 1.1.0.
